Ever remember a food you love, but haven't enjoyed in a while. That's how I feel about cucumber right now. It's revolutionizing my meals as of late.
Today this idea from Don Miller's blog captured my attention: a man being on an adventure and inviting a woman into that adventure. Beautiful idea. And it made me think of how, at times, I've been more attracted to a man's adventure than the man himself, perhaps so much so that I was distracted from the fact that he wasn't inviting me along to share in it with him.
It feels good to remember the forgotten and to name a truth. Blessings for the day.

what i'm reading
As usual, I'm in the midst of a couple books at the same time. I move between them as the mood strikes. I'm reframing this habit from "I'm a distracted, non-disciplined reader" to "I enjoy keeping my options open." Here's what is keeping me company right before bedtime these days.
- Committed: A Skeptic Makes Peace with Marriage by Elizabeth Gilbert
- A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller
- Sammy's House by Kristin Gore
- When Summer Is In The Meadow by Niall Williams & Christine Breen
- Style Statement: Live by your own design by Carrie McCarthy & Danielle LaPorte

Some might remember this idea for my big trip in 2010. I've booked it for 2011.
So why am I remembering December? Because I blogged every day that month. I remember enjoying that experience, reflecting on my days and sharing a slice of it with whomever journeyed to my internet home. Somewhat strange maybe, because I don't think this space gathers too many readers, but nonetheless I felt connected. I'm plugging back into that experience and making another go of daily blogging. I wonder what I'll share each day? I haven't a clue as I peck away at this post. I know I'll circle back to this story and finish it up. And that's about it for my ideas at this moment. I'll tap into my fondness of considering observations and learning new things and figure it out along the way.
Hello to those of you who are following this place. . . a see a few photos of people I do not know. I'm honored you visit. Thank you!
Now for a question. . .what "I'm not quite certain why, but I'm sticking with it" destination is on your list?
